In order to overcome the shortcoming of the fuzzy numbers membership function in ranking fuzzy numbers in the air defense, the definition of relative membership degree is introduced, and then the relative membership degree deviation is defined. Moreover, a method of ranking fuzzy numbers based on relative membership degree is proposed. Thus, by using this method, the problem mentioned above can be solved.
