Proceeding from requirements and goals in maintenance and according to the basic procedures of decision analysis, this paper builds up a maintenance optimization model by value and utility functions, visualizes the relations between the maintenance activities by adopting influence diagrams, and quantitatively analyzes the optimization of maintenance activities. Finally the paper gives an illustrative example.
